MARkS: Leave your mark on Mars

In 2016-2017, the PostDigital seminary in the ENS organized an artistic competition, asking to imagine a research work that could be conducted on the future first Mars colonies, and to enact it through an artistic contribution.

I participated, and imagined that life on Mars had proved to be monotonous as hell. I proposed a very simple solution: allowing to do graffitis through augmented reality. The idea was to develop later a smartphone app, that would enable people to do virtual graffitis on real places.

For many reasons, the competition never went beyond the speculative research paper.
